Life As Usual

After all the excitement we had during the month of June, it is nice to have "life as usual". Sure we're doing some things different since it is summer and school is technically out. I'm still doing a few little school things with Victoria, Austin & Leah. I try to make them more game like than school like.

We have had a huge blessing. This is our second summer w/o a/c in our family vehicle. As of last Sunday, some friends at church are letting us use their van until we can sell our suburban and get a new/new to us vehicle.

Last night we had a fun family time. Daddy got home from work in time to actually eat supper then told everyone to get loaded in the van we were headed out for a surprise. After a quick trip to Walmart to get soaker hoses because ours were worn out, we went to Wendy's and Daddy bought everyone a frosty!! Such a little thing was sooooo much fun. Then we came back home and went to bed happy. :)

Oh, yes, while we were at Walmart we bought a plastic pool for the kids!! They spent most of the day outside today. They had fun and it was so quiet inside for me. :) I think we are going to have to take it back and get a different one. The edges on this pool are sharp and all 3 kids have scrapes and cuts on their hands and fingers. Nothing major, except to Leah. We'll know next time to check the edges.
